Distribution

The following recommendations exist for efficient distribution of the POCT. Equipment and supplies should be delivered to the facility at the same time that on-site facility training occurs to ensure that untrained staff does not use machines and that trainees can immediately apply lessons learnt. Each facility receiving a POCT device should receive the following items during the initial delivery/installation that will occur concurrently with on-site training:
1. One POC device with its printer and bag
2. A specific quantity of reagents as the initial allocation. The expiry date should be for a minimum of six months after the device reaches the facility
3. One normal standard and one low standard (these will expire six months after first use)
4. Paper for printing assuming
5. One flash disk to store the data as a back up
